Our Artificial Intelligence Policy

AI is a tool. Not an author. Not a performer. Not a person we can avoid paying.

We use it where it helps us think, organise and prepare. We do not use it to replace the people who make the work.

 

What we use AI for

Research. Finding starting points, organising information and identifying questions. Outputs are checked. Confidence is not evidence.

Administration. Schedules, lists, document structures and routine production tasks.

 

Funding applications. Developing answers, testing clarity and editing drafts. The facts, ideas and final decisions remain ours.

 

Email drafting. Because sometimes the difficult part is the formal way of putting things together.

 

Ideation. Exploring loglines, synopses, story questions and alternative ways of expressing an existing idea.

 

Coverage. Testing scripts against structure, clarity, character and genre. AI coverage is one perspective. It is not a verdict.

 

Previsualisation. Creating temporary references for framing, tone, space and design. These materials are used to communicate an intention. They are not the finished work.

 

All AI-assisted work is reviewed by a person. Responsibility stays with us.

Anyone working with Makoff Productions may opt out of AI use within their part of the process. They do not need to defend that decision. We agree the working method before the work begins.
