Our
Films
Each film is a conversation between laughter and truth, art and process, chaos and care.
At Makoff Productions, we tell stories that entertain, connect, and dare to feel; films that hold a mirror to the beautiful mess of being human.

Committing a Romance - short film coming soon
The unplanned sequel to Committing the Kiss, this mockumentary follows a director who crosses her own professional boundaries, blurring the line between performance and vulnerability, art and attraction.
Committing a Romance dives into the beautifully awkward, deeply human mess of what happens when the intimacy you’re directing becomes your own.

Mediation - short film in development
A mental health hospital. Three generations. One disastrously “healing” meeting.
When a well-meaning but out-of-touch Gen X manager forces a mediation session between a burned-out millennial mental health professional and an idealistic Gen Z nurse, the results are anything but therapeutic.

Not a Cancer Story [WORKING TITLE] First Feature - script in development
A thirty-something mother gets a brain tumour diagnosis, and decides it’s as good a time as any to completely rethink her life.
What begins as a crisis turns into an unexpected awakening, full of awkward honesty, questionable self-help, and surprising joy.
Based on a true story, this is a sharp, heartfelt comedy about illness, transformation, and the absurd beauty of starting over when life forgets to give you a warning.
